Meet the 2024 Tea-Loving Storytellers

The third annual Story of a Teacup Event chariTEA event takes place online on November 17, 2024. Four other tea leavers and I will be having online tea with participants. We will also each share a story about a special piece of teaware from our collections. It’s always a lovely tea-and-empathy-building event. [NOTE: This lovely event has passed. You can read about it here.]

Meet the 2024 tea-loving storytellers!

Overview of our Storytellers

The featured storytellers at Story of a Teacup 2024 are all self-proclaimed tea lovers and active members of the Instagram communiTEA.

  • Two work in the tea industry.
  • One recently co-started a tea-related group.
  • One creates teaware.
  • And, you know about me! (But, I’ll say more below.)

We are all eager to show a special piece of our teaware and share the meaningful story behind it. In other words, we’re all tea-loving storytellers!

Meet Each Storyteller

Drawing of Kelly, a tea-loving storyteller.

Kelly probably posts more tea tasting notes than anyone I know! She has a keen sense of smell and taste–as you might expect from someone who also works in the tea industry. She delights followers, including me, with her fun teaware and detailed and tantalizing tasting notes.

Michell is the tea lover and potter. In addition to creating clay teaware, she created Herb, a sweet ceramic turtle tea pet. She sent him on a voyage from tea lover to tea lover around the US and even across some borders! I was lucky enough to host Herb and wrote about Michell and Herb in previous blog posts.

Katelyn founded Dear Tea Co, a tea company, to spread the joy of tea as her late grandpa inspired her. Recently, she co-founded an online tea community called Unfurl to build a collaborative space for tea lovers. Needless to say, Katelyn loves connecting with others through tea.

Annie creates beautiful weekend tea sessions and collects lovely teaware.

You can find her visiting her local tea shops or traveling across the ocean to attend a tea festival.

I’m Traci — AKA Tea Infusiast. I’m your host and one of the featured storytellers at the 2024 Story of a Teacup.

I create events and content to connect tea lovers with and through tea. The stories behind our teaware inspire me. In fact, I think of this event like Storycorps for teaware.
